Shane was born at Tachikawa AB Japan His home of records was Charleston SC Mr Taft was Principal of the school Shane attended when his education began in the Philippines and was Principal of Seoul American High School when he graduated. His father, Robert T. Pearson retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in the USAF and our last tour of duty was at Osan AB. He retired in 1990 at Charleston AFB SC and passed away in March 2000. I am living in Falls Church VA until I retire. 

 

He graduated from Johnson & Wales University – the Culinary School in Charleston SC and was hired as the Chef of International Cuisine.  The school moved to Charlotte NC and he was an Instructor until his death.

 

His mother established a Scholarship Fund at Johnson & Wales under the Development & Alumni Relations, 801 W. Trade Street, Charlotte NC 29202 in his name.  It is the Chef Shane H. Pearson ’97 Memorial Scholarship with the purpose of providing scholarships to deserving students who are students in the Culinary Arts Degree on the Charlotte NC campus.
