I attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 1993 with a degree in Elementary Education. I married my husband a week after graduation and we settled in Houston, where I taught elementary school for 6 years. During that time I got my Master's Degree in Educational Administration at the University of Houston. Soon after I was hired as an Assistant Principal at my school, where I stayed until giving birth to my daughter. Since then I've been home raising my two precious kids and doing everything that goes along with it.
