Marshall was flying an A-6 Intruder which collided with another A-6 while doing training maneuvers in Fallon, Nevada. He was stationed at Oceana, VA at the time. Marshall had completed test pilot training at Patuxent River, MD and had been accepted into the astronaut training program shortly before his death. Flying was his childhood dream and he died doing what he loved to do.

Alan Priddy (1975)

Marshall was a heck of a basketball player and always had a smile on his face.  I never remember him being upset about anything, just a great personality and person.
