In 1969, I was a freshman at SAHS. Sherry Bristol Kennedy was a classmate of mine. Although we were not close friends, she always had some kind words for me. It may seem somewhat insignificant, but I was hiding a lot of insecurity at that time and those words were important to me. Sherry was smart, opinionated, beautiful, and full of life. Sherry’s life was cut short when she went back to the states later that year. She was murdered in January of 1970 by a serial killer. When I heard about Sherry, I felt the drain of innocence from my soul. But her kind words stay with me and I will never forget her.
