Obituary:

Jeffery Allan Hurteau, 39, died unexpectedly on April 22, 2010. Jeff was a loving and devoted father and husband. Born November 20, 1970 at Clark airforce base in the Philippines, he was the son of Wayne S.Hurteau and Avelina Alforque. Jeff was a priveleged military son who traveled the world at a young age discovering music (his passion) and developing his carpentry skills. Jeff returned to Tupper Lake a single father to provide a better quality of life to his two sons in 1997. Being aware of his childrens needs, he gave up a career in music, always putting them first. Jeff was a man with hard work ethics, morals,and values who believed strongly in family.

Survived by his sons, Jeffery K. Hurteau, Allen M. Hurteau, two daughters, Seybree and Alora, his wife Regina Hurteau, his parents Wayne S. and Nami Hurteau, Nina and Marvin Tamoro, two brothers Peter and David, two sisters, Lisa and Diane, his aunt Lynn and uncles Mike and Terry, his nieces Kenya and Eydon and nephew Ryan.

Jeff was a firm promoter of autism awareness who would appreciate any consideration in the development, growth, and education pertaining to autism. Donations can be made to the autism society,at www.autism-society.org.

Jeff and I attended the same classes. Jeff could get me to laugh, something I needed very badly after losing my mother just before arriving in Seoul. He is the reason I still play guitar to this very day! RIP Jeff and although we never spoke after my leaving Korea, I remember your voice and face!
