I moved back to the Washington DC area after two years at the University of Denver to be near my family and get my BA at the University of Maryland in journalism. I have been a health care reporter for about 20 years and then got a master's degree in public health journalism. I then became a certified nutritional therapist specializing in reversing diabetes naturally and have a private practice and also engage in corporate wellness. I am now back to being a health care journalist covering the pandemic for WebMD Health News.

I have maintained several long-term friendships, play tennis, swim and hike, love to travel, and live with 2 calico cats.

I remember the open campus at SAHS and a bakery I discovered up the hill which had great chocolate chip cookies for like 25cents. Needless to day, I put on a little weight my first year of living on base....

It was my first time living on a military base since my dad was with the USAID in the Foreign Service but with 4 kids enrolled at SAHS, I think my parents wisely thought living on base would be easier than commuting daily from the Embassy compound in Seoul. I really enjoyed the friendly community there and the clubs I joined and travel I did around S.Korea.
