Politics and Forum Posts

From Kelly Bonine (Hall) ’89, Administrator

The forum has recently seen several posts on political and social media topics. I ask that such posts be discontinued and that forum posts be limited and focused on only our SAHS memories, military and overseas Brat life, reunions past and future, and our having lived together in Korea. Newsworthy stories about Korea too would be appropriate. This preference will encourage more posting, and less distraction from why exists.

Of course political and social issues are important and if you want to post them, please use social media sites such as FaceBook, twitter and the like.

We are genuinely and legitimately concerned about what is an ever increasing number of acts of anti-Asian violence. This disturbs SAHS Brats, more than many others,  because many of us are Asian, have close Asian friends and classmates, and/or have fond memories of our time in Korea. Those feelings are certainly part of the SAHS experience, but please try to discuss it without politics or political purpose.

If you have concerns this goal is ill-advised, please email my co-administrator Class of ‘67. He will collect comments and report back to us.

Our most recent all-year reunion was in 2019 - Here's to looking forward to so many more!  Let us know how we can help you plan one.
Thanks to all that came out to celebrate 50 years of SAHS!

Are you missing a yearbook?

American Overseas Schools Historical Society are the archives for schools overseas for military brats and the like.  They have many SAHS yearbooks digitized and online at our website, not all, but many.  We encourage you to take a look and go through memory lane.  This is very good stuff!

Planning a Reunion?  Let us help you get the word out!

If you and/or your fellow classmates are planning a reunion, we can help you find willing helpers and assist in getting the word out.  The classes with years ending in "7" and "2" may want to start planning for 2022.

What?  Your Graduation Year doesn't end in 7 or 2, but you still want to plan a get-together?  How about coordinating an "All Year" Reunion or a reunion for a particular decade for 2022?  All have been done before and we can help you get started!
