VIEW PROFILE
Just received this morning from Charles Troglen (March 11, 2009):
Charlie,
This is Barbara, Bob's daughter. I just wanted everyone to know that Bob died this morning about 4:30. He wasn't sick, it was just his time. I will let everyone know if there will be some type of memorial but at this time I don't know.
He spent many hours enjoying your emails and friendship. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for him. He holds all of you close to him and always will. Thank you for being a part of his life.
God Bless You,
Barbara

Mr. Lowery was the best. He helped students to learn in a fun manner one of the boring subjects in school-English. He always showed support to his students, showed class spirit with the students, and always fun to be around. We will miss you Mr. Lowery. My condolences to the family.Sincerely,
Mary Ann McIntyre

My thoughts and prayers go out his family. I wasn't even in his classes, but he knew and emailed me the past few years. Mr. Lowry was one of a kind, and he will be missed by everyone he's met.Sarah Beth Irby (1988)
Mr. Lowery ~You were so loved at SAHS and will be deeply missed. You were the "coolest teacher!" RIP, my thoughts and love go out to your family ~ Sarah Beth Irby

Only two teachers in my life touched me deeply enough that I have carried them and their teachings through life with me, Mr. Lowery was one of them. He managed to make Shakespeare interesting, and he really loved English and teaching. He could be blunt, even harsh, but you never felt he wanted anything other than to help you. I used to love his sayings like, "you'r just like a goose, you wake up in a new world every day.", which was said to students who did or said something dumb (I believe that's right). I am thankful I had him as a teacher, he will be missed; I am truly sad. The other teacher, in case you'r wondering, was Mrs. Choi. They are two people who profoundly touched my life.Allyson Thomas (Glascock) (1989)
Rest in peace Mr. Lowery. Thanks for the memories.I loved his class (7th period, class of 89).
What a great teacher he was.
In my experience, D.O.D.D.S. teachers were all really good, compared to the public schools here in the states, but Mr. Lowery was definitely one of the best. I've thought of him often since graduation. He connected with his students in a way that made everyone feel special. I had heard that he had attended some of the reunions, and hoped to see him in Phoenix this summer.
He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
Love, Allyson
