Pedro Albano Ramirez Jr. (July 29, 1949 - May 4, 2025) 

Pedro Albano Ramirez Jr., a devoted family man, esteemed professional, and passionate
advocate for the Filipino community, passed away peacefully at home on May 4, 2025,
due to natural causes. He was 75 years young. 

Born on July 29, 1949, Peter, as he was affectionately known, was the only son of
Former Ambassador Pedro Gurango Ramirez and Sol Albano Ramirez. He grew up in a
family of five children, with four sisters: Maria Byrne Peterson (deceased), Evelyn
Ramirez Bosch (deceased), Norma Ramirez (deceased), and Gina Ranno (Richie), who
resides in Florida. 

Peter's upbringing in diplomatic circles instilled in him a sense of quiet confidence,
eloquence, and enigmatic charm. He pursued his higher education at the University of
Southern California, where he became a lifelong Trojan fan, where he frequented games
throughout the years with his best friend, Glen Constantino. 

Throughout his illustrious career, Peter excelled in banking, international finance, export
trade finance, and mergers and acquisitions. His professional achievements were a
testament to his dedication and expertise. 

Beyond his professional pursuits, Peter was a martial arts enthusiast, earning a black
belt in Tae Kwon Do. His love for the sport remained unwavering throughout his life. He
was also deeply committed to the local Filipino community, spearheading numerous
events and initiatives that fostered cultural exchange and understanding. 

Peter is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; children Sol Beatriz (Ramone), Ana Victoria,
Peter III (Phala), Stephanie, Ali, Sebastian, and stepson Scott; grandchildren Laiza, Leila,
Ramone Jr., Ethan, Harley, and Rhys; and great-grandchild King. 

Peter's legacy is one of love, dedication, and service. His family, friends, and community
will deeply miss him. Rest in peace, Peter. Your memory will live on in our hearts.
