In Memory
Christopher (Chris) Andrew Kincaid entered the Lord's Kingdom June 24, 2005, following a long and valiant battle with cancer. Chris was born July 2, 1981 in Rapid City, South Dakota. As an Army Brat, Chris lived with his family all over the world and the United States. He enjoyed science fiction and dragons, country music, and his Ford F150, but above all he loved his family and treasured his friends. Throughout his struggles he reflected Faith – Courage – Spirit. Chris lived his faith and with his laughter he inspired others to meet life head on and overcome whatever obstacles burdened them. "Mr. Chris" loved children and children loved him and gravitated toward him wherever he was. He worked for Child Youth Services on Fort Carson, and attended Pikes Peak Community College studying Early Childhood Development. He would not have us withhold our tears of grief, but he would want us to celebrate him with laughter between the tears. His humor often lifted spirits and freed the soul…such was his constant gift to those around him. He is survived by his parents: Duane and Jo Kincaid of Fountain; his sister, Shellie Kincaid also of Fountain; his fraternal grandparents, Leslie and Doris Kincaid of Colorado Springs; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves to the care of his family his loving cat, "Carrie." Chris is preceded in death by his grandparents, Hershal and Betty Bauer, formerly of Simla. A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 30, 2005 at 11;00 a.m. at Soldiers' Memorial Chapel, Ft. Carson. Suggested memorials to Brent's Place, 1129 E. 17th Ave., Denver, CO, 80218, or Pikes Peak Hospice, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave., Suite 600, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
