Doug Ackerman

Douglas “Doug” Bryon Ackerman, age 56, of Covington, WA died on November 17, 2022, from a rare neurological disorder. Doug was born May 9, 1966, in Eugene, Oregon. He is survived by his wife, Christina “Christi” Woodson Ackerman, and daughter, Hannah Beth Ackerman.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert “Bob” Ackerman. Survived by his mother, Patricia “Patt” Ackerman, brothers, Brian Ackerman (Mariella) niece/Goddaughter Sophia and nephew Enzo, of Seattle, WA, and Russell Ackerman (Tamara) of Claremont, CA. Doug leaves behind Nephew, Joshua Woodson of Lacey, WA, Goddaughters Spencer Grubbs & Christian Grubbs of Charlotte, NC, and Godson Quentin Frascone of Annandale, VA.

Doug was full of hope and he loved his family and friends deeply. He was always ready to help out with whatever anyone needed. Doug had boundless energy and loved an adventure. He was always good for a “dad joke.” Even towards the end of life his sense of humor, hope, and love shined bright.

Mass of Christian Burial will be January 9, 2023 at 11:00am.
