April 2, 1956 - June 10, 2012
Resident of Santa Clara

A beautiful woman, both inside and out, passed away to be with the Lord. Sue Lynn left this world unexpectedly, leaving a void that can never be filled. She was a wonderful wife to her husband John who felt her love and devotion every day. She was born into a military family and traveled the world eventually landing in San Jose, CA. where she met John while attending Evergreen Community College in 1976. They married in 1980 and took up residence in Santa Clara. Sue enjoyed her career as an x-ray technologist for over thirty years and spent over two-thirds of her career at Kaiser Hospital, where she was admired, respected and loved by both co-workers and patients.

Sue Lynn loved animals and the outdoors. She loved spending time in her garden, was an avid hiker, loved her many pets, was an accomplished yoga enthusiast and an amazing gourmet cook. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and her many close friends. Sue Lynn and her spouse John enjoyed traveling the world together and took several cruises with many of their close friends. She was a life long learner with a variety of interests. She took numerous personal growth and development courses enriching her life and the lives of those who loved her. Sue Lynn volunteered her time and energy with John as Friends of San Jose Family Camp taking on various projects to help prepare Camp for families over the past seven years.
Sue Lynn was preceded in death by her father, Ralph V. Gonzales. She is survived by her husband of thirty-two years, John M. Gonsalves and her dear mother, Julia Ann Reeves. She will be greatly missed by her parents-in-law Arthur and Lorraine Gonsalves, her sisters-in-law Kathy McChristian (Gary), Karen Warren (Jerry) and Kelly Cornell. As well as brothers-in-law Paul Gonsalves and Jim Gonsalves (Barbara). Sue was loved and adored and will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews Jason, Jamie (Jose), Lisa, Clinton, Jacque, Janelle, Christina, Jared, Tyler, Ashley, Katie, Bradley and Melanie.

The viewing will be held at Lima Family Mortuary in Santa Clara, 466 N. Winchester Blvd. on Monday, June 18th from 3:00pm-5:00pm. A Rosary for Sue Lynn will be held at 7:00pm that evening at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4600 Hyland Ave., San Jose. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 19th at 11:00am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Donations in her name may be made to the or the .
