SAHS was my second of three high schools, and easily my favorite. Working on the newspaper with Mr. Mueller, the Middle East conflict simulation with Mr. Brickley, chemistry with Mr. Cullen, English with Miss Dewitt, history with Mrs Dirks, algebra two with Mr Franzich, and the Far East speech and drama festival in in Okinawa with a half dozen close friends. I only got to stay a year of a plan three, and received a lot of support while my dad worked through serious alcohol problems. He got sober just about the time I graduated from high school in Carrollton Texas..

20 juniors and seniors in an AP history class, sex was always on our minds. Mike asked, “ what are we doing in class today?” not thinking I remarked, “ probably another in-depth discussion about sex…”. Skipping a beat as I realized what I said I blurted out much too loud loudly.” no pun intended.”
