After teaching in Virginia, she moved to Merritt Island, Florida when Jack retired from the Army. She then worked at NASA at Cape Kennedy as an education coordinator for school groups that came to NASA. She also traveled to schools throughout the Southeast to talk about the Space Program. After age retired, she and Jack traveled extensively. She passed away in the Fall of 2016, after a battle with cancer. She certainly shared her love of science with her students.
