Michael passed on August 24, 2004 of Diabetic Keto-Acidosis.    He had a reaction to the medicine that he was taking for his depression.   He went to the Emergency Room 3 days in a row at the VA Hospital in San Antonio so that he could be treated but he wasn't able to see a doctor.   By the time he could get to another hospital it was too late.   Since his death we've launched a campaign to try to get better health care for all our veterans.    There was a news story done by our local news and here's the video link of the story.    It's heart wrenching.
