Ms. Jill Marlene Klein, 44 of Cedarville, Mich., formerly of Atlanta, died tragically on Nov. 3, 2018. She was born in Mt. Clemens, Mich., on Feb. 20, 1974 to the late, James and Marilyn (Brennan) Allen. Jill graduated from Atlanta High School in 1992 and served her country in the United States Army National Guard after graduation. She worked for Moran Ironworks for 10 years and most recently for Carmeuse Lime and Stone in Cedarville where she worked as a supervisor. Jill was a very creative person and enjoyed welding, drawing, and making glass sculptures. She was very “hands on” and loved getting her hands dirty. She loved dogs, but most importantly, she loved her two boys. Her greatest pride was being a mother. Jill had a beautiful spirit with a smile that could light up a room. She will be dearly missed by everyone that was blessed to have known her.
She is survived by her sons, Vernon and James; sisters, Jody (Brandon) Wehner of Howell; Jamie (Steven) Faulkner of Brighton; brother, James Allen of Novi; aunt, Barb (Fred) Porrett of Alpena; cousin, Michelle (Colin) Appleby of Derby, England; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marilyn Allen.
Jill Allen attended SAHS from 1986-1989 before returning to Atlanta, MI and graduating in 1992. She attended Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, MI and Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. Jill was talented and creative. She loved to paint and draw. She also loved health and fitness. But more than anything she loved being a mother to her two boys, Vernon and James. Jill is deeply missed by all who knew her. She will always be remembered for being fun, smart and sharp witted.
